Upper Mazák rocks
The Upper Mazáck rocks represent a rocky outcrop on the SW slope of the Lysá hora above the valley of the Suchý potok, a tributary of the Mazák brook. He gave the name to the entire unit. The max. 9 m high sandstones themselves, created by exposure of flysch (alternation of sandstones, slates and conglomerates) are located not far below the settlement of Butořanka and somewhat higher above the settlement of Muchovice (the Dolní Mazácké skály are closer there), on the Silesian side of the village of Ostravice.…
