Hořiněves - monuments to the battle of 1866

Monuments on the outskirts of the village commemorate the battle of the Prussian-Austrian War on July 3.7.1866, 2. The ensemble consists of a monument to the 200nd Hunting Battalion and a sandstone pyramid on top with a cannon cross, which marks the mass grave of 200 Austrian and 2 Prussian soldiers. There are 12 type crosses on both sides of the pyramid. There is stop No. 1866 on the Educational Trail "Josefov - Smiřice - Chlum XNUMX".
