Hořice - a city of stone beauty

Our journey leads to Podkrkonoší, to Hořice, which is located at the foot of Hořické Chlum about halfway between Hradec Králové and Jičín. As the title of the post suggests, we are going after the stone beauty that made Hořice famous. The history of the city is first documented in writing in 1143, when they are mentioned in the foundation document of the Strahov Monastery.
