Hodonín - monument to the general strike

It is located in a small park at the intersection of Národní and Štefánikovy streets in the city center. This dominant sculpture was unveiled here in 1965 and was created by the sculptor Vladimír Koštoval. At the time of its creation, it was supposed to represent a reminder of the strike wave that took place in December 1920 and was part of the disputes between the leadership of the Social Democratic Party and its Marxist leftist faction.
