Hejnice, Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary.

The town of Hejnice is located in the Smědé river valley, and the first written mention of this place is from 1381. The church is on the southern edge of the town, on a hill above the right bank of the river. Smědá flows from the NE in an arc, passes the hill with the church and heads to the NW. Hejnice was a famous place of pilgrimage already in the Middle Ages. Everything here started with a chapel from the beginning of the 14th century, about which not much is known.
