Harcov

The Harcov dam on the Harcovský stream in the cadastre of the city of Liberec was built between 1902 and 1904. The reason for the construction of the dam was the catastrophic floods at the end of the 19th century, especially the flood of July 30, 1897, when the highest flow through the Harcovský stream in Liberec was found to be 20 m3/ with.

The purpose of the waterworks:
- Capture of flood flows and their reduction to a value of 6,7 m3/s.
