Pomegranate Hill.
An inconspicuous overgrown hill in the fields near the village of Měrunice. The top is the remnant of an eroded volcanic inlet channel. Garnet-bearing gravels were formed by erosion.
In the past, Czech garnet was mined here. There were shafts up to 60 meters deep. Even now, there are small grains of garnets in the fields near the hill.
