The Dýmač pond is located at the southeastern edge of the Ostarva district near Svinov. The pond was built on the left bank of the Odra River and in the northern direction from the Rezavka Nature Reserve, which is made up of floodplain forest, around the blind arm of the Odra and the vast area covered by the Rákosina.
