The building is located at the end of Budislavi, near the village of Poříčí u Litomyšle.
The house was built at the initiative of Karel Čapek according to the project of architect Stanislav Tobek. Karel čapek designed this building for the PEN club committee, and construction began in 1938. The building was completed in 1941.
