Druzec is a village in the Kladno district, less than 9 km by car southwest from the center of Kladno. The first written mention of Družec is from 1320.
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was originally built in Gothic style already in the first half of the 14th century. The vicarage is first mentioned in 1352 = the church was already a parish. The church and the village were looted and burned by the Swedes during the Thirty Years' War (in 1634).
