The buildings of the village of Doubrava rise out of the floodplain and the slopes of the hills around the Kaňovické stream and today it is inhabited by more than 570 inhabitants. The village is first mentioned in the land registers in 1406. At that time, it was called Weledoubravy and belonged to the Malenovice manor "in the secular sense". However, it has been associated with Velké Ořechov since its inception, so the locals had to walk about an hour to its (then medieval) church. Year…
