The South Moravian town of Doubravice nad Svitavou can be found in the Blanen district, not far from the town of Boskovice. Less than fifteen hundred inhabitants live here, and the village is first mentioned in writing in 1255 (however, it was established on an important trade route probably already in the 12th century).
