Dařenec is a nature reserve that can be found north of the village of Vřesina in the central part of Selské les. To the south of the village of Vřesina is the town of Hlučín, to the southeast is the village of Darkovice, and not far from its southern edge is the museum complex of the Czechoslovak fortifications.
