Cvikov is located in North Bohemia, east of Nové Bor. Cvikov is a foothill town located at the foot of the southern peaks of the Lusatian Mountains. The town is surrounded by deep forests. The highest point above the city is the peak of Zelený vrch (586 meters above sea level) towards the northeast.
