Čižek's stones

The rock formation of Čížkové kamené, which is located east of Trutnov on a wooded hill above the left bank of the Úpa River, began to form in the Mesozoic period. The shallow sea began to recede from the local landscape and the deposition of sandstone sediments began to form rock walls and sandstone blocks.
