The town of Chýnov is in southern Bohemia, 9 km east of Tábor on the road from Tábor to Pelhřimov. The castle is in the eastern part of the city and you can reach it from the southern end of the square around the Church of the Holy Trinity. 4 km NE of Chýnov is the second largest limestone cave in Bohemia. Chýnov is mentioned by the chronicler Kosmas in his chronicle, as an extensive Hradiště of the Principality of Slavník in the 10th century. Halfway through.…
