Chvalkovice - statue of St. Linhart

There is an interesting statue on the left side of the road from Chvalkovice to Újezdec. It is a statue of St. Linharta standing on a plinth bearing the coat of arms of the Dobřenský family from Dobření. Looking at the statue, we notice that he has a book at his left leg and is holding a crutch in his left hand. The base of the statue is dated 1791, but the statue itself is younger, apparently from the first half of the 1th century. The ravages of time and the weather…
