Chropyňský pond
Chropyňský rybník is a protected area extending from the southern edge of the town of Chropyně, which lies north of the city of Kroměříž. The town of Chropyně can be found in the area called fertile Haná and, according to legend, it is the birthplace of King Ječmínek. In the southern part of the town there is a rebuilt Baroque castle, and not far from it the vast Chropyňský rybník, which is also known as the Castle, was founded. The pond was…
