The historical center of Cologne is dominated by the Church of St. Bartholomew, which in its present form is the result of several centuries of building development. The beginnings of one of the most valuable sacral buildings in our country go back to the Romanesque period, perhaps even to the pre-colonization period, for which there is archeological evidence of settlement in the area of today's temple.
