Ski area Chotouň

Our area offers all skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to practice their favorite sport without having to travel far to the mountains. Drivers in particular will be happy not to get stuck in snowdrifts on the way to us, but usually a pleasant ride on a dry road awaits them. Parking in the complex is free in several areas within direct reach of the lifts. There are four lifts available in the area. Two parallel lifts of the "POMA" type with telescopic carriers (length 300 and 280m, elevation 50m), a small children's lift (length 70m) with a low rope guide and, now, a movable ski belt (length 50m) for the smallest skiers. All transport devices have continuous speed control, which enables comfortable boarding even for less experienced skiers. Moderate downhill tracks in the area are suitable mainly for beginners and intermediate skiers. We would rather recommend our snack stand to very skilled skiers. Because there is not enough natural snow in this location (altitude 350 - 400m), we have built a very powerful snowmaking system and we are able to use ten snowmaking machines to make snow ourselves - we only need frost. At minimum power, the system can be started from approx. -3°C - it also depends on air humidity, wind direction and intensity, etc. We groom the slope daily with a Pisten Bully 300 (or Pisten Bully 240) ski. The lifts are in operation 12 hours a day, from nine in the morning to nine in the evening - the slope is equipped with lighting, which enables evening skiing, especially for those of you who want to stretch your body on the slope even on a weekday evening after work. Those interested in skiing and snowboarding lessons can use the services of our ski school, where interested parties are taught individually or in small groups. We have a rental and service of skis and snowboards right on our premises. We offer you to rent a set of equipment from renowned brands and the overall treatment of your skis and snowboards.
