Cholina - Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary
The first mentions of Cholina, or Polnostech in the vicinity of today's village date back to 1141, and a church is documented as early as 1305-30, which was supposed to be managed by the Premonstratensians from the Hradisko monastery near Olomouc. It can therefore be assumed that the original church was probably built sometime in the 13th century as a Romanesque church, and was rebuilt in the Gothic style at the beginning of the 14th century.
