Chlumec nad Cidlinou - former Majorát

An interesting building that closes the eastern part of the Chlumeck Square is the former Majorát. Already in 1683, there was a building of meat shops in this place. But as early as 1719, it was rebuilt at the expense of Václav Norbert Oktavián Kinsky, into a manor house with an attic and a portico. At the beginning of the 19th century, a classicist reconstruction took place, the arcade was walled up and later the attic was also removed. This was a baroque building…
