Český Rudolec, Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist.

If the church is dedicated to St. Jan the Baptist, it is certain that this is a Romanesque or Gothic building. This is also the case with the church in Český Rudolec. The original building was apparently smaller, and the one we are looking at today was built in the late Gothic style, sometime around 1480. It is said that the model for this building was the church of St. Jakub in Telč, which was also undergoing reconstruction. Who had the church built...
