The baroque statue of the Virgin Mary Budějovická stands above the left bank of the Malša, not far from the Golden Bridge, in front of the regional court building, hidden among linden trees and chestnut trees. The statue was created in 1715 by Josef Dietrich. Originally, the statue stood in front of the Linz Gate. After the massive southern entrance to the city was removed, it was moved to the left bank of the Malše river in front of the regional court building, where it still stands today.
