České Budějovice - Baroque Samson fountain
The baroque Samson fountain is the focal point of the largest square square in the Czech Republic. The fountain was designed by František Baugut, a Jesuit from Jindřichohradec, and was created in the years 1721-1726 by Josef Dietrich, a local sculptor, and Zachariaš Horn, a stonemason. In addition to the fact that the fountain is very aesthetically pleasing, it also had a practical mission - it supplied the city with water from the Vltava.
