Česká Třebová - brotherhood sculpture
This bronze sculpture is located in front of the České Třebo train station in the corner of Jan Perner square. It dates from 1947 and its author is the academic sculptor Karel Pokorný. It commemorates the liberation of the country by the Red Army. The statue was commissioned by a local citizen after returning from a concentration camp for his town. A copy of the statue, which first stood in front of the entrance of Fanto's building at the Main Railway Station in Prague, became better known. After…
