Česká Skalice - military cemetery of the battle of 1866
The military cemetery in Česká Skalica was established in 1892 by the Society for the Maintenance of Graves and Monuments on Battlefields from 1866. Most of those who died in the Battle of Česká Skalica are buried in the cemetery. A plaque on a high boulder marks the common grave of 480 Austrian soldiers and the brigade commander Major General Gustav Fragner. There are 33 monuments and typical crosses.
