Black Lake
The Černé and Čertovo jezero nature reserve (175 ha) was declared as early as 1911 to protect two of Šumava's eight lakes of glacial origin on the slopes of Jezerní hora (1343 m).
Černé jezero (also called Bystřické, Dešenické, České) is the largest lake in Šumava (18,93 ha, depth 40 m, length from the dam to the Lake Wall 800 m). It lies at an altitude of 1008 m above sea level
