  Already during my first visit to Mount Čerňava (844 m) in Hostýnské vrchy, I was intrigued by the surroundings of the summit elevation. Right next to the tourist signpost, there was a palouček, strewn with boulders and low rocks, and on one of them there was a memorial plaque with the name of the commissar of the partisan brigade - Ivan Petrovič Stěpanov, who fell here at the very end of the war. But the year was 1984 and under the then regime...
