Bohemia under Kosíř - church of St. John the Baptist

The single-tower church of St. John the Baptist, which replaced the older tabernacle, which no longer had adequate capacity, was built between 1781 and 1794 and is still the most prominent landmark of the village today. The author of the church project, which included the underground tomb of the noble family Silva – Tarouca (in 1923 it had to be moved due to groundwater), is Jan Petr Ceroni.
