Former Jewish Synagogue in Milevsk (today building of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church)

The first written mentions of Jews in Milevsko date from the 16th century. In the following century, a Jewish community was founded. Apparently, the first local prayer house was built in Milevsko in the 18th century. Services were held in it until 1919, when they were moved to a new building, as the original one was no longer suitable.
 
The new synagogue is located in Sokolovská Street No. 209. It was built between 1914 and 1919 according to…
