Beech trees near Vysoké Chvojno

The beeches near Vysoké Chvojno have been, since 1884, the longest protected area in the East Bohemian region. Here we find massive beech trees that are about 400 years old, their height reaches 40 meters and their diameter is 4 meters. In addition, there is a forest sedge, which is a remnant of the original type of forest cover.
