Budišovice is located northwest of the city of Ostrava. To the north of the village is the small town of Kravaře and to the northeast is Dolní Benešov. In the western direction from the village, the V Kalužy nature reserve stretches. Budišovice is surrounded by forested hillsides that belong to the Nízké Jeseník mountain range.
