Brno - statue of Leoš Janáček
A portrait statue of the famous music composer Leoš Janáček (1854-1928) by the authors Stanislav Hanzl, Otakar Oplatek and Vilém Zavřel has stood in front of the Janáček Theater since 1975, to the left of its entrance staircase. It is placed on a low stone block plinth and is a larger-than-life portrait sculpture. The artist is shown here in a slightly bent position, as if listening intently…
