Originally, a Jewish settlement was located in these places. However, Tav disappeared after 1454, when by order of King Ladislav Pohrobek, Jews had to leave all royal cities. The local synagogue was then rebuilt into a church, which was demolished shortly after. The Jewish houses were then sold off by the city council to Christians.
