Brno - Church of St. Jacob the Elder

The first written mention of the church can be found in the documents of King Přemysl Otakar II. from 1228. It was a Romanesque building that was replaced by a highly Gothic work - the current church was built gradually until the end of the 16th century.
It has been a national cultural monument since 1995.
In the church of St. Jakub, the famous defender of Brno from the Thirty Years' War, Marshal Louis Raduit de Souchese, is buried.
