Břeclav, an easily accessible town in the south of Moravia, is located on the Dyja river near the borders with Austria and Slovakia. It got its name from Prince Břetislav, who built a border castle here in the 11th century, but its historical roots go back to the period of the famous Great Moravian Empire.
