The Biřička stream is formed by the connection of several melioration channels about one kilometer northwest of Býště at an altitude of 275 m. Together with the Orlicí, Piletický and Plačický streams, it is one of the four largest tributaries of the Elbe in the territory of Hradec Králové. There are four ponds on the stream (Birička, Cikán, Datlík, Roudnička) and also the natural monument Roudnička and Datlík. The total length of the waterway is approximately 8,6 kilometers.
