Boarding house in Brno

The meeting house is located on the corner of Husovy and Solniční streets. It was built in 1873 according to the project of the Viennese architect Theophile Hansen, who left a significant mark in Brno (Klein and Pražák Palace, the main building of the St. Anna Hospital with a chapel).
The construction was financed by Akciová společnost Besední dom (later Matice Besední dom), whose chairman was Count Egbert Belcredi.
