Beroun - a small hydroelectric power plant
The royal city of Beroun was founded in 1295 by King Wenceslas II. on the site of the old settlement at the ford over Berounka (then Mže). The weir over the Berounka has been connected with the history of the city since at least the beginning of the 17th century, the first depiction of which is on an engraving of Beroun from 1602 by J. Willenberk.
