The town of Benešov nad Ploučnicí lies mainly on the right bank of the Ploučnice river, southeast of Děčín. The historical core of the city is a city monument zone. We stopped here on our way to Krkonoše - unfortunately it was Monday, we knew we wouldn't get to the castle, but at least we wanted to see the castle from the outside.
