Venice near Štěpánov – the Reconciliation Cross
The settlement of Venátky, which is first mentioned in writing in 1397 and whose name refers to the fact that it arose on wetlands or swamps, can be found about 10 kilometers north of Olomouc. Venice is part of the village of Štěpánov, which is already mentioned in the donation deed of King Přemysl Otakar I from 1201. The reconciliation cross here belongs to those that were first described only relatively recently.
