The grounds of the castle in Ledč nad Sázavou

This truly unmissable landmark of the city juts out from a rocky promontory above the historic core of Ledče on the opposite right bank of the river. According to the year of its foundation, it is ranked among the oldest noble residences in the whole of Bohemia and is the only well-preserved castle of its kind in the central Posázaví region.
 
Its oldest part was probably created in the first half of the 13th century.
