Alšovo náměstí in Písek

  In the Middle Ages, the current Alšovo náměstí was probably the main market in Písek. In the place where the house with the butcher shop stands today, the reeve's residence, the seat of the reeve, the representative of the royal power in the city, stood on the market square.
