6 Prague theaters that you simply must not miss

If you are from Prague or its surroundings, you know very well that there are dozens of different interesting activities on offer here. Except ZOO or walks in the park, we certainly shouldn't forget quality culture in the form of galleries, museums and, of course, theaters. Which of them are the most famous in Prague? If you've never been to them, you'd better rectify that soon. It would be a shame to miss out on such great experiences...

1. La Fabrika theater

There is a huge cultural space in Holešovice, which also includes a theater called La Fabrika. Acting aces such as Jakub Prachař, Anna Polívková or Tatiana Wilhelmová. The theater started its full operation only in 2007, but today it is one of the most sought-after theaters in Prague.

2. Ungelt Theater

The theater called Ungelt boasts a prestigious location in the heart of the metropolis, namely in Prague 1 - Old Town. It was played here for the first time in 1995, when a famous actor was also behind the opening Miloš Kopecky. Ungelt strives for an intimate atmosphere, usually featuring a maximum of four actors in one play. Actresses such as Jana Brejchová, Květa Fialová or Zlata Adamovská. We must not forget the legendary Petr Kostka or Jiří Schmitzer.

3. Pod Palmovka theater

Libeň, Prague 8 district. This is exactly the location where we would find the legendary Pod Palmovkou theater. A drama classic that unfortunately also suffered during the flood in Prague in 2002. Legends? For example Josef Kemr, Theodor Pištěk, Jan Skopeček or Věra Tichánková, the founding members in 1948 included Sobeslav Sejk.

One of the biggest legends of the theater world, which was managed by Jiří Suchý together with Jiří Šliter for many years. It was founded in 1959, its former members included Miroslav Šimek, Naďa Urbánková or František Ringo Čech. Also worth mentioning is Miluška Voborníková or Jana Robbová. We would find the Neo-Renaissance theater building in Prague 6.

5. Radek Brzobohatý Theatre

Prague 1, Opletalova street. The history of the theater named after one of the biggest Czech acting legends dates back to 2002, it is famous for its capacity of less than three hundred seats and a number of other cultural events are held here. Members of the theater also travel to various Czech cities, including Brno, Karlovy Vary and Kolín. Among others, the son of the founder plays here Ondřej Brzobohatý, but also Ernesto Čekan, Rudolf Hrušínský Jr. or Romana Goščíková.

Of course, we could continue, but surely these five will be enough for you for some time. If you haven't been to any of the theaters yet, don't brag about it out loud anywhere and better rectify that soon. Culture stirs the spirit, it cannot be said otherwise...
